Osteopath West is a business offering Osteopathy and Sports rehabilitation.

Osteopath West is owned and run by Lisa Opie who began her career as a professional squash player travelling the world on the international circuit. On retiring from professional sport Lisa set about gaining her qualifications, first in sports massage and onto to a degree in sport injury rehabilitation and sports science. Lisa has developed her skills since spending an additional 5 years at the British School of Osteopathy training for her Masters Degree, and more recently gaining qualifications in Kinesio taping.



What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a whole system of assessment, diagnosis and treatment of many dysfunctions of the body. It aims to reduce pain and promote normal, healthy functions of the body by correcting mechanical imbalances within each individual's neuro-muscular-skeletal system.

What is Sports Rehabilitation?

Sports Injury Rehabilitation combines soft tissue massage, stretching and kinesio taping techniques with a progressive sport specific exercise programme aiming to return the individual back to full functional fitness.
